if you buy a cell phone with GPS installed, if you fly across the world, would it still work?i mean,,,if you bought it in new york...and you flew to england....then to australia...then to africa....then to antartica....will it still pin point your exact location & guide you on all the roads & streets? or just major streets & highways?

Gps, uh there is tow different types you have 1 type that make your roads and tell you were to turn and the such, then you have type 2 with just tells you were your at how far you've traveled, how long, the speed ,marks waypoints, and routes

Which Garmin Forerunner is the best (Based on accuracy of GPS)?I have a Garmin Forerunner 301. Sometimes when I run the distance is way off of what it is supposed to be. My friend has a 305 and his distance/pace seems to be accurate everytime. I am considering buying a 405. I want to know which of the garmin forerunners (101, 201, 301, 205, 305, 50, 405, 60, 405CX, 310XT, 110, 210, and 410) has the best gps accuracy and doesn't take long to get the signal. Thanks.

I seem to remember that the 410 has the newest GPS chipset (faster acquisition time), and that the 405s have newer chipsets than the 305. Having said that, I own a 305 and I'm very satisfied with the accuracy. Remember that if you "weave" a lot than the GPS will record that too and show it as extra distance. Try switching with your friend for one run to see what's the source of the issue. Also go over the settings to see if there's something weird there ("smart recording" and such).

Hi.I have the 305 forerunner watch too in red/gray. The watch is really accurate. I know it is because I have used a web site to track distance.Then used my watch to see if it was to be the same.It was. I would recommend the 305.
