I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 200 GPS. Does anyone know how to upload google maps to it.?

I just bought a Garmin Nuvi 200 GPS. Does anyone know how to upload google maps to it.?And Why it would give me the wrong route back home. It took me away 0f my destination for two hrs. instead of taking me east it took me west?

You have to go to Garmin.com and then you download the maps.
