Additional accessories or equipment for Garmin Nuvi 255w GPS?I purchased this gps as a gift for my boyfriend. Other than what comes in the box with the gps, do I need to purchase anything else? I want him to open the box and be able to use it immediately. I am not necessarily looking to purchase addition items for luxury or fun... I want to be sure a that a useful add-on or electronic type component won't be missing. Any ideas or suggestions?

that unit like all other protable gps units come with everything you need for it to work right out of the box. the really only thing people might need is a different map than what is preprogrammed on it. and you only need a different map if you plan to use it in another country. different maps can be purchased and downloaded from the manufacturers website.

you might want to check the box and make sure it comes with a cord to connect to your computer for updates--most units do come with the cable- some don't. you will want to update your maps, points of interest etc and you'll need that cable to do it....
