I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS and now it won't power up, what is wrong?

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS and now it won't power up, what is wrong?I've tried using the on/off button, and plugging it into my car and the ac outlet. I was using it yesterday. The battery could be bad but would a dead battery not allow it to start when it's plugged in? help!

This is a tough one and really depends, how old is the unit? Have you tried pressing the reset behind the antenna small pinhole type button. Does the unit say recharging when plugged in? Have you checked Garmin's website under support and searched for the same type problem? Garmin provides 1 year warranty on their products , even if it is beyond that I would try calling them , they have always helped us in the past. First try and use the reset button.
