What is GPS Voice Guidance?

What is GPS Voice Guidance?I am looking into buying a GPS..one has Text to Speech and the other one has Text to Speech and Voice Guidance. Both are about the same price...I know Text to Speech means a voice will tell you wihat street to turn on. What exactly is voice guidance?

I'm almost positive it's two ways of saying the same thing. It would have been helpful had you included the models and brands.
