Dad's a trucker and i wanted to get him a trucker gps system. Where can i buy those?My Dad is new to truck driving and we're both having trouble finding the gps system for commercial trucks in stores, and the regular car gps systems have him taking gravel roads and such he's not supposed to be on. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Your best bet is to get a regular GPS system like the Garmin Nuvi and then update it so that it is more in tune with what truckers need.

The Garmin Nuvi 5000 is supposed to be targeted at BIGGER vehicle drivers too.

For starters you can go over to http://www.poi-factory.com/ and grab the truck-stop POI file and the Low-Clearance POI file and add them to your database.

Ask around in the GPS Forums as a lot of other users do encounter the same problems and some of them are willing to help.
