Does my GPS have built in technology that automatically stops the charger?I have a RightWay RW400 4.3" Portable Navigation System with Gas Calculator. I want to know if it automatically stops the charger in the car so it doesnt over charge

the best way to find out is to check your user manual. your gps did come with a user manual, right? if not, contact the company who makes the gps or visit there web site for more information about it. if you cannot contact the company then contact the seller or distributor who sold it to you.

getting the correct information about your gps is paramount.

most high end gps come with this feature built in and most gps have gas calculators too. these are not special features limited to your 4.3" screen gps. most high end gps's have 5" color touch screens (http://www.newelectronx.com/products.php?cat=46).

any ways check with your gps manufacture and get more information before you burn your cigarette lighter out in your car or damage the gps.
