I have a magellan gps and it tells me when the turns are coming up..

Who told you the 260W was discontinued? That is not true. It may not be at whatever retailer you looked at, but I can assure you the 260W has not been discontinued by Garmin. Garmin discontinued the 300 series and most of the 600 series.
